This Weekend in Charleston: Second Sunday
Sunday happens to be my favorite day of the week. For many, it is a day to relax and enjoy time with the family. Now that my friends have become my surrogate Charleston family, we try to make the most of the end of the weekend with brunch, the beach or cooking Sunday family dinner together. This weekend, I will be enjoying my Sunday even more as King Street closes down for Second Sunday.
For those that have not participated before, King Street becomes a pedestrian’s paradise—restaurants pull tables into the streets and there are plenty of great shopping deals. It is also a great time to just get out, walk around and enjoy the beautiful city we live in.
This Sunday, August 12, be on the lookout for Baker Motor Company’s Jaguar display on Wentworth Street. Interested in brunch? Try one of my favorites: Leaf, Chucktown Tavern or Mellow Mushroom.
So if you don’t have tickets down to the final day of the PGA Championship on Sunday, avoid the traffic, leave your car at home, walk on down to King Street and enjoy a Second Sunday Funday. See you there!
