Public Relations Account Director - The perfect candidate for this position:

Manager of Social Media and Online Reputation - This role will lead the agency’s efforts for a wide range of clients in the social media environment, driving the social media communications strategy to develop brand awareness, initiate online conversations, generate Web traffic, and activate a social media referral network. Reporting to the Senior Director of Public Relations, the Manager of Social Media will coordinate with internal marketing teams to ensure consistency in voice and messaging throughout the social media space. This is a very hands-on position that will require existing knowledge of the social media space as well as the metrics and benchmarks with which to measure effectiveness.

The perfect candidate for this position will:

• Serve as the subject matter expert for all things social media at Rawle Murdy:   Marketing, Communications, Customer Experience and Community
• Work closely with the connections planning team on social media strategies and how they integrate into overall communications plans 
• Plan social media marketing campaigns, including requirements definition, scope,  deliverables, schedules, and budgets
• Manage campaigns in a hands-on, on-going fashion. Duties will include online advocacy,  creation and execution of new concepts, copy/editorial, community-building efforts,   promotions, etc.
• Oversee presence in social/professional networking including Facebook, Twitter, and  other similar community sites, blogs, and apps as needed
• Become the voice of Rawle Murdy in the social media space, engaging in dialogues and  our point person for thought leadership
• Research existing and emerging social / professional networking sites, blogs, and apps  for new ways to reach and engage in conversation with our clients’ target audiences
• Use best practices to build a robust community following within various social media  sites
• Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize  results

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Proven track record within the social media space
• 3-5 years of experience in public relations, digital media or other related field

Media Relations Coordinator – The person in this position will be handling

• Developing story angles and pitching stories to media
• Writing (including press releases, media alerts, by-lined articles)
• Clip monitoring
• Press release distribution
• Coordinating media requests
• Working with Media Relations Manager and other team members on strategy

Requirements:
• 2-3 years substantial media relations experience
• Proven media relations results (i.e. story placements)
• Outstanding writing, thinking, and speaking skills
• Strong ability to pitch media

• BS in journalism, public relations, or related field
• Agency experience preferred

Director of Connections Planning (Media) – The perfect candidate for this position:

• Can create a clear vision of a successful connections planning department; be able to communicate it to the members of the department, the agency and our clients; and execute this vision effectively and efficiently
• Is good at working with our brand planners and brand managers in understanding how consumers get information about our clients’ brands
• Has the right combination of strong online knowledge-both strategy and execution-digital media including ads, SEM, SEO, mobile, etc.  Has experience/knowledge in overseeing traditional media planning and buying-print, electronic, OOH, DM, etc.
• The successful candidate should also be engaged in identifying/creating  non-paid, non-traditional forms of brand exposure
• Is someone who recognizes the value of analytics, and can bring new ideas and new partners to the table to advance our company’s understanding and use of them
• Has a strong sense of culture that can fit well within our organization; an emerging leader that can lead by example and mentor those around her/him

The position of Connections Planning leads what was once two departments- media and interactive.  This is a highly creative and innovation-driven position.  We are searching for a person who can lead the development of strategic, ROI-focused connections programs for our clients, assuring the appropriate mix of communications tools is used to reach defined audiences.  You’ll be a leader in the strategic development of integrated campaigns for our clients from start to finish.

The right candidate will help to continually increase company-wide knowledge and capabilities of digital solutions of all types.  In addition, our ability to leverage knowledge/hands of a strong stable of outside partners will be increasingly important. 

 This person will help identify opportunities with current clients, help manage specific projects, encourage an environment where digital solutions are organically born and driven by the various departments within the our firm, and be an active part of our new business efforts. The ability to lead teams in this area, to clearly present interactive strategies and overall connections plans to clients, and to successfully execute programs is essential.

Internships - We are always on the lookout for aspiring people who have a passion for advertising and marketing. Interns are integrated team members within an account group handling multiple clients so you can expect real-world work assignments and a challenging experience. Internships are unpaid and typically last throughout a semester or over the summer.

Brand Planning Intern (1 position available) – You’ll work on qualitative and quantitative research projects; lead trend analysis monitoring; and assist with brand strategy development.  Candidates should have an inherent curiosity into what makes consumers tick.

Brand Management Intern – Public Relations-Focused (2 positions available) -You’ll work in conjunction with Rawle Murdy public relations-focused team members on all public relations activities … conduct trend and new business research; write press releases, advertising and program copy, bios, etc.; pitch story ideas; source, update, and maintain mailing lists and media lists for client programs, events, and news; support ongoing social media research and coordination and much more!  Some knowledge of public relations and related responsibilities, either from in-classroom education or internship experience. Brand Management Intern – Account Service-Focused (2-3 positions available) – You’ll work on competitive analysis of marketing efforts and brand positioning; weekly analysis of sales data and response rates from marketing campaigns; researching and proposing interactive marketing ideas to reach new target audiences; and developing content for online and offline marketing efforts.  Candidates should have a passion for the advertising industry and be eager to get their hands on live projects.

Business Development Intern (1 position available) –You’ll actively participate in all aspects of Rawle Murdy’s business development efforts including:  research on potential clients; manage new business mailing lists; assist with direct marketing and online marketing activities; assist with RFI and RFP response production and oral pitch presentation preparations. Candidate should have a passion for the advertising industry and thrive in an energetic, fast-paced work environment with a can-do attitude.
